Welcome to the Student Nurse Congress Blog Site

SAVE THE DATE!!!

Date: Wednesday 18th April 2018
Time 09:00 - 17:00
Venue: St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Blackshaw Road, London SW17 0QT

The purpose of the Nursing Congress is to help nursing students to recognise and expand their knowledge in regards to nursing education, care and practice. It will be an opportunity to provide students with a platform to meet students from other universities across different fields of nursing and across all year groups where they are able to develop, learn and share nursing experiences and practices together. The ultimate goal is to encourage and stimulate students to increase their participation, engagement and attention with their nursing profession and to hopefully provide students with the opportunity for both personal and professional development.

The student congress will be designed to enhance a unique integrated academic experience. This will be achieved by developing a culture of collaboration between students, academics and other health professionals to be a part of the committee group to help develop and organise the congress together. As well as inviting academics and other health professionals to facilitate discussion groups and debates.

The Congress will consist of the following:
1) Key Note Speakers who will frame the day - I can confirm that we have Jane Cummings, Chief Nurse of England as one of our Key Note Speaker
2) Debate Sessions
3) Discussion Sessions
4) Interactive Workshops

Please do bear with us, we are still in the early stages of organising this congress and will hopefully have more information up soon.
